This Black Friday we're featuring Emily Ryan of Little House of Chic, an Atlanta based digital creator who mixes vintage items with chic retail finds to stylishly decorate her closet and home. We asked Emily about her favorite deals and online shops, and the dresses she's been eyeing during our 40% off Black Friday sale!
Do you have any Black Friday traditions?
Things won't be much different this year for me! I typically prefer to shop sales online, in the comfort of my own bed. We host Thanksgiving every year for our family, so I typically wake up early (6:00 am or so) to get my shopping done before I begin hosting for the day. I take advantage of the great prices to buy Christmas gifts for family and friends, and always make sure to treat myself to a few goodies of my own.
For most, Black Friday will be taking place online this year. What are your favorite online shops right now?
Mestiza New York of course! Mestiza New York has the most beautiful dresses I've ever owned or worn. The fit, fabric, and quality are bar none. I also love Frontgate for home decor, Tuckernuck for their fun and casual attire, Birdies for a chic and comfy shoe, and the Outnet!
Which deals are you most excited for?
I love to stock up on beauty products and skincare. I've also heard Net-a-Porter and Moda Operandi are going to have big discounts so I am thrilled about that sale! My husband is getting to plan our big purchase this year - a new TV for our living room. Pro tip ladies - let your husband buy a TV and he'll be so distracted showing it off to family and watching football games to notice your shopping ;)
Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
Ohh that's a tough one. In the past I have preferred cyber Monday because I'm a bit of a gadget girl. I've loved the idea of having a home full of gadgets ever since I watched the Disney original movie Smart Home when I was a kid. Give me all of the motion-detecting lighting and home automation items. This year, however, I am more excited for Black Friday!
Which Mestiza pieces do you have your eyes on during our 40% off all items Black Friday promotion?
I have been eyeing the Lulu mini dress! It's such a fun dress and just screams "take me dancing!" I plan to wear it next time we visit my parents at the beach. I also love that Mestiza recently fashioned the popular tassel dresses into a beautiful top! So chic! I can't wait to scoop one up and wear it to dinner or work. It's also perfect to pack for vacation.
I've fallen in love with the Flora mini dress and the Stephanie bow dress in gold and white. I have the Stephanie in the blue color and it is so stunning. It fits like a dream and I can't get enough of the big bow on the bodice!
