“Fashion is about dreaming and making other people dream”

“Fashion is about dreaming and making other people dream”

– Donatella Versace

This week, we visited my parents in Palm Beach. It was our first time traveling in over a year, and I had forgotten that traveling with a toddler and 8 month old is the opposite of relaxing, but fortunately, my parents provided their exceptional babysitting services allowing my husband, Rob, and I to enjoy a dinner date, al fresco.
It truly was a beautiful evening. Rob and I were reminded of our time in New York with the cornucopia of delicious, inventive cuisine and romantic ambience. Although, what excited me the most was the much-anticipated return of fashion. And I mean FASHION.
Men were elegant looking in tailored white pants, freshly pressed button downs, smart jackets and driving shoes. Women rocked strapless shapely dresses, sexy stilettos, and pashminas draped across their sun kissed shoulders in gorgeous shades of blue and pink.
I was hesitant to “doll up” at first, thinking I’d stand out too much and look out of place. Ultimately, I decided that if I was going to go out, to rock a hot orange Mestiza mini dress from our Summer 2021 collection (coming soon) and I am so happy I did! Being able to dress up and see others doing the same gave me a burst of happy energy; a feeling like coming out of hibernation after a yearlong winter. The restaurant glowed with radiance and joy from its patrons. It made me remember the past but also gave me a little glimpse into the future, which was happier, brighter and of course, had a little more pink!

What are you dreaming of doing (or wearing) in a post-covid world?
